Each team will have a fixed time limit for their bids to keep the auction moving at an exciting pace.

Announcement: A mandatory participant briefing session will be held on 21 April (one day before the event). The complete format and gameplay process for the IPL Auction event will be explained during this session.

How Player Ratings Are Calculated

Each player's performance points are calculated based on their real IPL 2025 statistics. Your team's total score depends on how well your selected players perform throughout the tournament.

Guidelines

Rules & Guidelines

Read the complete ruleset, game instructions, and scoring system to prepare for the auction.

General Instructions

  • Proper decorum must be maintained. Usage of any foul language will result in straight disqualification.
  • This is a solo/group event.
  • Usage of any third-party applications that give you an unfair advantage will result in immediate disqualification and potential ban from future tournaments.
  • Each participating team is given 120 Crores as budget.
  • Players must bid for IPL franchises (10 total) and get the privilege of having an RTM card.
  • Failure to comply with limitations leads to immediate disqualification.
  • Unsold players will NOT be looped again.
  • It is mandatory to form a squad of exactly 11 players.
  • Required squad composition: 1 Wicket-keeper, 4 Batters, 4 Bowlers, 2 All-rounders

Game Rules

  • Auction starts with bidding on IPL Franchises. Base price: 10 CR each. No team can go unsold; the last team sells at 15 CR.
  • One player from each team raises the baton and bids; the rest discuss internally.
  • Players' bidding order is declared on the spot.
  • Blind bids occur during the game—teams privately pass chits with prices to auctioneers.
  • Riddle bids require teams to write the answer with a bidding amount; the team with the correct answer and highest bid wins.
  • Winners of blind bids and riddles can block a team for the next player's bid.
  • Teams with more/less than 11 players or out of cash before team formation are disqualified.

RTM (Right-to-Match) Rules

  • An RTM card is given to every franchise holder in this auction.
  • RTM gives a franchise the option to match another franchise's bid for a player that belonged to them in IPL 2025.
  • Example: If Franchise A bids X for a player, Franchise B (original owner) can secure the player at that exact amount.
  • When RTM is used, the original bidder gets the bid amount refunded.

Scoring Instructions

  • Points based on IPL 2025 tournament stats from official IPL website.
  • Teams earn points based on franchise auction positioning: 1st = 100 pts, 2nd = 90 pts, ..., Last = 10 pts.
  • Each team gets assigned a volunteer for tracking.
  • Players must track purse money usage and note all players and amounts.
  • After team formation, appoint one player as Ace Captain—their points are doubled.

Important Notes

  • Organizers' decision is FINAL
  • Teams must carry laptops to maintain stats.
  • Time and classroom updates will be shared in the WhatsApp group.
  • Organizers are not responsible for any loss of personal items.
