About IIEC

Who We Are

IIEC — Incubation, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Cell is the official student-led entrepreneurship hub of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University, Navi Mumbai. What started as a small group of passionate students at E-Cell CSMU has grown into a nationally recognized movement — ranked Top 23 out of 4,000+ teams across India at the National Entrepreneurship Challenge (NEC) by E-Cell, IIT Bombay. We are one of the best entrepreneurship cells in Maharashtra.

We exist to bridge the gap between ideas and execution. Through skill development workshops, startup mentorship, national competitions, hackathons, coding bootcamps, and industry connections, IIEC provides the platform where raw ambition transforms into real ventures. We don't just study entrepreneurship — we practice it. From business plan competitions to startup incubation, our community of student founders is building the future.

Every member who joins IIEC becomes part of a legacy of innovation and entrepreneurship. We're building a culture where innovation is second nature, failures are celebrated as lessons, and every student at CSMU is empowered to think like a startup founder and leader.

2020

E-Cell Founded

A group of passionate students recognized the need for an entrepreneurship platform at CSMU. E-Cell CSMU was born with a vision to build startup culture from the ground up.

2020–2024

Building Foundations

E-Cell CSMU grew steadily — organizing events, workshops, and building a strong entrepreneurial community on campus.

2025

NEC — Top 23 All India

Achieved Top 23 rank out of 4,000+ teams at the National Entrepreneurship Challenge (NEC) by E-Cell, IIT Bombay — qualifying for the national finals and putting CSMU on the map.

Evolution to IIEC

E-Cell CSMU transforms into IIEC — Incubation, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Cell, expanding scope to cover incubation, innovation labs, and national outreach.

Feb 2026

GENESIS & Beyond

Successfully conducted GENESIS — our flagship orientation event in collaboration with GeeksforGeeks. Building the team, hosting events, and scaling our national presence.
